A sweet and creamed tropical cocktail, very famous in the Caribbean particularly in Puerto Rico Island, very good in a hot day if you can find the ingredients to make it, in special the coconut cream:

Pour 2 Oz (60 ml) pineapple juice, 2 Oz (60 ml) light rum, 1 1/2 Oz (45 ml) coconut cream in a shaker filled with ice, shake well and pour into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry :)

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2008-06-21T13:48:54Z</dcterms:modified>

Sambuca on fire

"Sangria" it is a drink recipe that I believe comes from Spain and it means 'Bloody" due the colour. I used to drink it a lot back in Venezuela, particularly in a hot day barbecue. I found this recipe on the net long time ago, just in case I want to prepare it here in Australia

* 1 1/2 L Red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon)

* 1 cup Sugar

* 1 large Lemon, sliced

* 1 large Orange, sliced

* 1 large Apple, cut into thin sections

* 3-4 oz (90-120 ml) plain Brandy

* Soda water

Mix wine, sugar and fruit, and let sit in the fridge for 18-24 hours. The mixture will have a somewhat syrupy consistency. Before serving stir in brandy and cut the mixture with soda water until it have a thinner, more wine like consistency. Serve from a pitcher in wine glasses.

You have to be sure to serve it at chilli temperatures. You can optionally place a pot with ice cubes for anyone to add if they want to :)
